Political activist and author Tommy Robinson has had his York University speech cancelled today. The talk which was due to take place later this month is the fourth University talk in twelve months to be cancelled and Robinson expects his two additional talks, he has planned to be cancelled too.
Robinson rose to fame speaking out about Islam, when he founded the English Defence League. He has since left the organisation abut works alongside European movement Pegieda.
In a video on his twitter Robinson said “free speech in universities is dead”. Explaining that the Social Warrior generation known as “Snowflakes” online “need safe spaces and need to hide away from reality and the truth of what’s happening in their country. Which put pressure on the universities not to host people who put pressure on there comfort zones.”
