The #Transgender Suicide Epidemic

OK so Brighton’s favourite transgendered person Russell sugar swan, a fitness instructor at Sugar Fitness. Has just blocked me  and accused me of “hate speech”and “transphobia” for pointing out that suicide rates amongst people who have transitioned are disproportionately high. I don’t say this to bash trans people, i say this because this is a real issue trans people need to face up-to, so they can campaign for better psychiatric care following transition, in order to save Trans lives.
Trans people will tell you they commit suicide on mass because they face discrimination and prejudice. Whilst this maybe true in some cases the stats when lined up with other minority groups who suffer prejudice and discrimination, such as black and Asian do not compare when lined up against each other. The suicide rates amongst trans people are only comparative that of those suffering with mental illness. Whilst transitioning may help trans people feel happier with their gender identity it doesn’t cure body dysmophia, nor doesn’t alleviate poverty many find themselves trapped in, in there never ending pursuit of happiness through plastic surgery. Or the fact that as many as 19% of people who transition express regret following the op. Trans people are also more likely to be lonely in old age as they find it hard to form relationships and establish their sexual identity and the fact that many people just don’t find trans people suitable mating partners.
My assertion is based on “A 2011 study at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden produced the most illuminating results yet regarding the transgendered [sic], evidence that should give advocates pause. The long-term study—up to 30 years—followed 324 people who had sex-reassignment surgery. The study revealed that beginning about 10 years after having the surgery, the transgendered [sic] began to experience increasing mental difficulties. Most shockingly, their suicide mortality rose almost 20-fold above the comparable nontransgender population.”
So Sugar, my post wasn’t “transphobic”, it was simply a way of highlighting a real issue amongst trans “Friends”. if trans people choose to ignore the shockingly high suicide rates then the problem will never be alleviated through better psychiatric care post treatment.
I believe in your rights as much as anyone Else’s but tonight you have shut down my right to free speech and instead of entering into a reasonable debate based on fact like a grown up. you have completely given into your “audience” on face book and banned me from your page. In spite of all the morale support I’ve given you. It’s my acceptance of the 71 genders that makes me highlight this issue in the hope that the trans community stands up for itself and demands greater care. However i accept its far easier to play the victim and revel in victim hood playing to a like minded audience of people then it is to stand up for real issues.
The trans community needs to be less focused on where they can piss and shit and more focused on why they’re all killing themselves. That’s my opinion based on fact,
Instead of idolising people like Kaitlin Jenner try idolising NCTE executive director Mara Keisling. who said this information was “ can be a useful instrument for creating transformative change in the lives of transgender people.” this followed a 2016 study which determined that “suicide was far higher among transgender people”
SUGAR SWAN,RUSSELL, i look forward to your reasoned and sensible reply. but i expect you to fully see this as a transphobic attack because you cant comprehend the point I’m making without throwing the chicken fillets out your dress
